24. Harvard has a 50 BILLION dollar endowment and does not need any support from US taxpayers. If Harvard did not pay administrators and professors hundreds of thousands in salary and over charge student tuition, more in country students could afford to attend. Additionally, those federal monies would be better spent on state universities, Junior Colleges, and trade schools, as they would serve a larger population. Bedsides, Congress has already shown that it now has both the power and will to hole institutions and those who run them accountable. So, I would like to see Congresswoman Stefanik finish the investigations she, and her prior committee, affectively started. JUST SAYING…

27. Endowments are earnarked for specific purposes by donors. The ignorance of most people on this topic is bottomless. Also, most discoveries ar made by underpaid postdocs who live off these grants. It's mindblowing that America would destroy its world leading and GDP-driving institutions. Almost 99% of new therapies come out of taxpayer funded research that gets picked up by pharma.
