  1. Such a shame when the rest of it was so historically accurate, and his accent was so good. Aye, right, lol.

  2. If you type historical inaccuracies into google braveheart is pretty near the top. Used to be first link but fallen over the years to accurate films like gladiator 2 and the bible it seems

  3. According to iMDb the Battle of Stirling Bridge was filmed in Ireland.

  4. Although Braveheart is completely inaccurate and Mel Gibsons accent was absolutely honking, the movie did bring “Ancient Scottish Culture” and “History” to a worldwide audience. Which is pretty cool.

  5. The idea that a local in Ireland, the country they filmed Braveheart in, knew what the battle of Stirling Bridge was is an stretch lol

  6. Wasn’t it filmed in Ireland for tax reasons?

  7. Is this a reference to the Mel Gibson documentary about William Wallace ?

  8. “Said the local”

Nevermind the film was filmed in Ireland

  9. Seeing as we’re talking about historical inaccuracies, what muppet drew that pic?

The Scots weren’t on the bridge, we waited until the English were crossing and came out of the woods to kick their arses.

  10. There should be a report button for “yer grans facebook quality post”
