  1. Give the poor guy an hour in the morning for a coffee and a poo won’t you

  2. Plausible deniability in case you call and they aren’t there.

“Oh, sorry, you must’ve called during our one off hour.”

  3. Their website boasts

    # Genuine 23 hour Callout Service™

its trademarked! and it says “you’ve just got to ask”, so maybe give them a call and do just that

I can’t find anything in the T&Cs that explains it though.

  4. You just know when you ring for an emergency he’s gonna tell you that he’s just started his 1 hour break.

  5. >What did the remaining one hour do?

Get you to post their businesses number on reddit…

  6. It is so they can always be an hour late to the job: “Oh, you phoned us during our one hour off.”

  7. It’s all the hours in the day except the one you call in.

  8. If you sat 24 you gotta turn up 23 means you got an excuse

  9. That’s easy. The time you call them and they don’t answer is the hour they are not working.

  10. I reckon it’s for when he just can’t be arsed when someone calls 😂 “Nah can’t do now love sorry, I don’t work this hour”

  11. A clever ploy. Whenever you phone they have the opportunity to not answer as it is the other 1 hour.

If they had said 24 hour then they would always have to answer.

    Clever people!

  12. Maybe you give them a call and they come out 23 hours later, which in all fairness is an hour better than other services

  13. He has an hour for lunch every day. That’s quite clever.

  14. They only work on the day the clocks go forward.

  15. you think its the times you can call…? its actually the window you have to be at home waiting for them…..

  16. If their company was called “23-hour call out Mill Side” it would mean they would appear above those 24-hour jokers in the phone bo…. Err, is that still a thing. …. Check-a-trade list.

  17. 23 comes before 24 so they’ll be higher up in the phone book or whatever website

  18. It’s a dastardly scheme to make Mr Krabs lose his staff.

  19. “You won’t have to wait a whole day for us to come around!” Perhaps?
