LIVE: Karen Read Murder Trial — MA v. Karen Read — Day Two

Karen Read is back on trial again after investigators say she drove drunk, hit her Boston cop boyfriend, John O’Keefe, then left him to die in the snow. O’Keefe was found dead outside the home of fellow Boston police officer Brian Albert, in Canton, Massachusetts. In July of 2024, a judge declared a mistrial in her first trial. Read has been charged with second-degree murder, motor vehicle manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a collision causing death.

  4. Oh yeah Hank Brennan has all the evidence he needs. The Reads stayed at the O’keefe’s for less than an hour and drove away in THEIR cars that they own, she must be guilty, that is weapons grade powerful evidence there bro. What a joke.

  5. If she’s so guilty why did they sell the home 2 months later thats been Im that family for generations. The dog is long gone and nobody knows where the the dog is. Look at his arm definitely an animal. Look at proctor hes involved in another cover up in stoughton on the Sandra birch Moore case. This case is definitely a cover up.

  6. I don’t understand why the Commonwealth had to put Peg O’Keefe up on the stand. To put that woman through this again in front of the world is just cruel.

  7. Mr Brennan the car was Karen Reid’s, she needs the car to get to work get groceries, etc. She was not removing a weapon by taking HER car from John O”Keefe’s house. That is far fetched.

  8. I watched the whole trial last time. I go back and forth if i think shes guilty or not. As a juror i couldn’t convict beyond a reasonable doubt

  9. I’ve never seen more apprehensively nervous witnesses for the the state in my life as I’ve seen in these two trials, It’s astounding. I thought Nicholas Garino was going to have a stroke just on direct examination alone.

  13. Um uh ummm, damn, uh ummm, I forget what Brennan, uh ummm uh, told me to, um uh ummmm, testify to, so I’m just going to keep saying um uh ummm, till I remember what he told me to, um uh ummm, say.

  16. This jury has to be thinking to themselves “is the state going to show any evidence, any evidence at all, that shows Karen Read committed second degree redrum???”

  19. Omg.. Mrs. O’Keefe. My heart goes out to her.. 😢 why does he show Mrs. okeefe a photograph of her son? Is he intentionally trying to drive her to tears?
