Try seeing a Taylor swift concert
It’s an understandable number to me. You get what you pay for and you’re getting Denzel Washington doing Shakespeare on Broadway. People will turn around and pay $600 for upper level terrible seats to see the Lakers lose because of LeBron and Luka or even worse, pay $3000 to see Beyoncé or Taylor Swift.

Seeing as Denzel announced his retirement last year it makes sense the tickets are going for crazy prices.
It’s an opportunity for the wealthy to look in amazement at the poor and say, “What, you don’t attend the theatre? No wonder you’re such low-class”.
