Big reason for all of this is oil prices plummeting which is Russia’s #1 revenue export they use for their budget. Their liquid assets of their NWF are nearly empty so they cannot survive long term low oil prices.
Posted this the other day. Wife was speaking to a friend in Russia. Banks are shedding staff. The friend’s son works in a major bank.
