Duško Ćurlić will be the Croatian commentator for HRT at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
HRT has confirmed that Duško Ćurlić will commentate for the broadcaster during all three shows of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. However, it has been reported that instead of travelling to the host city Basel, he will provide commentary from Zagreb, Croatia. This will be his 17th time in the commentary booth, having commented on the contest every year Croatia has participated since 2006. He was also the Croatian spokesperson in 2002.
HRT will broadcast all three shows on HRT 1, as well as on their multimedia service.
Representing Croatia at this year’s contest is Marko Bošnjak with his song “Poison Cake”.
Who is Marko Bošnjak?
Marko Bošnjak was born on January 11, 2004 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Croatian parents. Marko began to be known to the ex-Yugoslavian audience at the early age of 11, in 2015, when he won the second season of the Serbian talent show “Pinkove zvezdice” (Pink stars).
He participated in the Croatian selection for Eurovision 2022, finishing in 2nd position behind Mia Dimšić. He returned to the contest in 2025 with “Poison Cake”, winning both the international jury and the national jury vote, and was also deemed fourth best song by the Croatian audience, allowing him to win the competition and represent Croatia at Eurovision 2025.

Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. They were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 2024 when Baby Lasgana finished 2nd in Malmö. He performed the song “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” which scored a total of 547 points, including 12 points from the juries in Cyprus and Serbia, and 9 sets of 12 points from the public vote.
