‘Having conceived through IVF the first time, we were fortunate to have another embryo stored away in a freezer,’ she explained. And while the news was certainly joyous, Bonas (nicknamed Cressy, Smalls or Smally, because she’s the youngest of her large brood of siblings from her mother, sparky Sixties heartbreaker Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon), revealed that the pregnancy has not been easy. Her first experience with morning sickness, she confessed, left her feeling like she had been ‘swaying on a boat for months’. No doubt, then, she’s a dab hand aboard the narrowboat for this year’s Easter holiday.

Elsewhere in the festive photo album, Cressida posted a picture of the two toddlers who had joined her in the countryside, facing away from the camera and looking out onto a bucolic vista of fields. In another snap, the blond-haired young boy holds hands with a family friend as they walk up the driveway to a charming brick house. If the photos are of Wilbur, they are certainly the most that fans will have ever seen of Cressida’s son, who is very rarely photographed.

Family and friends were quick to share the joy, with Harry Wentworth-Stanley’s uncle, Ivar Mountbatten, liking the photo, as well as racing guru Flora Gibbs.

Cressida has certainly been busy in recent months, with the Tulip Fever actress following in the footsteps of Meghan Markle and launching her second podcast. The series, Lessons From Our Mothers, sees Cressida and her half-sister, Isabella Branson, host a ‘series of conversations that celebrate motherhood and mothering in all its forms.’ Each episode, the pair are joined by a special guest, including A-list actress Kate Winslet, celebrity chef Mary Berry (who makes Cressida and Isabella a cup of tea and a homemade cake) and Cressida’s close friend, Princess Eugenie – always thought to have been the one to set her up with Prince Harry when the two dated back in the day.

When asked about the lesson that she had learned from her own mother, Sarah Ferguson, Princess Eugenie shared: ‘I think for me, it’s the fire inside, you know, the strength inside of you, and how to bring that out, and to pull it in when you most need it.’
