I’m not a fan of the whole Conan thing, but I also understand how hard it is for humans to walk away from something they love and he’s been to the best of my knowledge a decent human being before and since. So yeah, that sucked, but some of these comments are merciless. Guy has been on this Earth for three quarters of a century and boil his entire existence down to one moment. Purity tests are boring.

  10. I hate the guy for what he did to Conan. I also am not a fan of some of his other stuff. Never really watched him. Never cared to. 

    I do respect him for this however. That business is seriously cutthroat and sadly some people have to lose. I think this was his way of recompense? Clearly not close enough but I’ll give him a couple points for some introspection. If everyone did at least his level of introspection maybe we’d have billionaires building more libraries and universities than buying elections.

  13. Jay has always been out of touch. I remember he would brag that he lived off the money he made doing stand up around the country & never touched the tonight show money. As if that made him more in touch with the common man. He was making 30 million/yr back in the 90s. As a stand up he was getting top rates as well as gigs in Vegas. Weird guy and full of shit.

  19. Why are you fighting so hard to defend a fascist movement? You could easily say you support anyone’s right to support whatever they want… as long as it’s not fascism or any ideology that supports genocide or other despicable movements.

    If Jay Leno says nice things about Fascists that makes him one by association. There is no separating the art from the artist when they’re supporting fascism. If he didn’t, then he’s fine.

    I’m just glad that we can all agree that if someone openly supports a fascist movement (police state, media control, removal of government oversight, genetic/color purity) that we can agree they are bad people and should be publicly shunned and the entire concept wiped from existence. Right? Right!?

    Easy hypothetical here.. if Trump (or any other fascist politician) said they think all people of a certain color, regardless of due process or any legality, should be rounded up and put in camps for our “safety“, camps that have giant ovens in them and then actively float the idea of using those conveniently placed ovens to make those people disappear for the good of the state. If that’s the case and a public figure is aware of this and asked if he supports Trump and the answer is yes, is that person bad?

    The answer is yes. Unless you’re a trumper of course.
