Some genius at my local supermarket managed to slice a loaf lengthwise.

  1. Worked at a bakery. Is asked quite often actually (twice a day). One person said she was only allowed to eat 50 grams per day, and this would give her 8 slices of 50 grams in a 400 grams tin loaf. While “normal slices” are 30-35 grams.

    We do what is asked.

  2. Nothing wrong with that. That he/she did not buy it afterwards , that is something else. I hate people who waste food.

  3. Yeah this is silly. We used these all the time for catering events. Make the big boy sandwiches, cut off the crusts and then cut them into triangles like your mom used to. Quicker and easier than regular sized.

Poke ’em with a frilly toothpick- maybe with an olive on top- and sell them for big money to the swells.

  4. I used to work in a brasserie where we made croques with bread sliced like this, we rolled it up and toasted it like that tho. Rolled up croqueskes are pretty good!
