Worked at a bakery. Is asked quite often actually (twice a day). One person said she was only allowed to eat 50 grams per day, and this would give her 8 slices of 50 grams in a 400 grams tin loaf. While “normal slices” are 30-35 grams.
We do what is asked.
I might actually do this the next time I slice bread 😅
(I like toast)
That is peak croques cut
Yeah, I sometimes do this to make epic sandwiches
i… want to do this
Nothing wrong with that. That he/she did not buy it afterwards , that is something else. I hate people who waste food.
I sometimes do this, you make great toasts with such kind of sliced bread.
/r/stupidfood has some suggestions for you.
Yeah this is silly. We used these all the time for catering events. Make the big boy sandwiches, cut off the crusts and then cut them into triangles like your mom used to. Quicker and easier than regular sized.
Poke ’em with a frilly toothpick- maybe with an olive on top- and sell them for big money to the swells.
Slim, nu heeft hij meer brood om te eten!
Same thing once at albert heijn, only it was more oval-ish bread
Pain surprise, anyone? 😉
Spoiler: OP cut their own bread in the supermarket.
I used to work in a brasserie where we made croques with bread sliced like this, we rolled it up and toasted it like that tho. Rolled up croqueskes are pretty good!
