Like honestly, if Russia can’t be a peaceful neighbour, then it can go and f itself.
The feeling here in Finland is that nobody really cares no more if Russia does something or does not do, what needs to be done will be done, and that’s it. Repercussions will be dealed with and damages absorbed. The plans are there, and they just need to be put in action. There are hopes the results will be good.
Ukraine showed us that not being in NATO does not spare a country from war with Russia. So if it’s going to happen either way, better be protected then.
RuZZia can try their luck. Their army of rapists, looters and killers will be send back in pickle jars.
This is a tough choice for you guys. I really don’t envy having Russia as a neighbor. Hopefully they’re too occupied and too drained from their invasion of Ukraine to retaliate against you.
That option is pretty much cancelled because pro-russian orban won elections in hungary. He will derail those NATO plans. Even Turkey might do the same.
In 1939, Finland went through what Ukraine is going through now. Karjala is to Finland what Donbass is to Ukraine.
Finns already kicked Russia’s ass once, they’ll do it again.

what is the honest alternative… if you don’t do anything they may invade.. if you do do something… they may invade. might as well join.
