I am in a play and I'm being asked to do a polish accent and I want to see how close I am. If someone would read the highlighted sections I would be very grateful. Thank you ♡
Do you need broken english or something more natural and english-like? Because i studied phonetics and phonology and trained my accent, but it still has polish traits. Not sure if it will be useful
That’s what I call freaking commitment ! This guy or gal, wants to have an accurate polish accent in their play.
Tbh I’m more interested to know what font is it
What I would do is every time there’s an N sound, I’d stress, every consonatlnt at the end of a word should be stressed, the K sound should he stressed and thr R sound not soft but hard, but don’t make it stressed
I couldn’t help you cause I have an english accent
Where is the speaker currently meant to be living? The Polish accent in a British, Scottish , Walsh, Irish, Australian, Canadian or USA will be different as people adopt and mix in the accent they hear around them to be better understood by the locals.
Did they learn English as a child, teen, adult or elderly? Time spent around English and Polish will affect the amount of accent present.
If you’re already dedicated enough to post it to this sub, let’s stay dedicated and method act it!
