The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, delivered a speech in the Romanian Parliament. He also presented images of the Bucha massacre, accusing Russia of war crimes. Zelensky said that the fate of Europe is now being decided on the territory of Ukraine and called for new sanctions against Russia.
* I want you to see what I saw at Bucha. I apologize for the harsh images, but this is the reality. (Images of the victims of the Bucha massacre appear on the screen).
* Cars were crushed by tanks. Girls and women were raped. We don’t have all the evidence yet. There were tortured people. People were shot in the back of the head. Why did the Russian military do this?
* More than 300 tortured people, simple people living in a simple city, who had their hands tied behind their backs and were shot.
* RIA Novosti justifies the genocide. They said, “What should Russia do with Ukraine?” They want to de-Ukrainianize and de-Europeanize Ukraine. The death of as many people as possible is desirable for them. Anything that does not support this position is censored.
* If the army and our people had not defended themselves, the Russians would have committed a massacre, just like in Bucha, all over Ukraine.
* The Russians are not even hiding, they are talking openly about the war against Ukraine.
* Teachers were killed, all of whom had the Ukrainian flag or coat of arms in their homes.
* Why don’t they hide? Why now, when the world understands very well what is happening?
* Nicolae Ceausescu died in 1989, after many years in which it was clear that he was not good, that he and the Securitate were leading Romania into isolation. That regime was based only on repression, nothing was sacred. The Romanian people rose up and overthrew that regime.
* Likewise, those who give war orders in Russia cannot be convinced of anything. These inadequate people have lost all connection with reality.
* The second reason why Russia does not hide the genocide: they are convinced that European leaders will not be able to stop them and that Europeans will not defend their values.
* Ukraine is not the only target of Russia. They want to attack Odessa and from there it’s just a step to Moldova.
* It is fundamental to defend Moldova’s independence, and that means security throughout the region.
* The fate of Central Europe and the Black Sea area is decided on the territory of Ukraine.
* Sanctions have been imposed on Russia, but the war has lasted 40 days. Russia must be deprived of all resources, primarily economic. Close the ports for Russian ships. Do not import from Russia.
* More sanctions are needed.
* Any politician in the democratic world must support Ukraine. Everyone must do their utmost to make the Russian military accountable to the law.
* I am convinced that Romania will support everything necessary to bring justice, I am convinced that Romania and Romanian companies will participate in the post-war recovery programs of Ukraine.
* Our internal potential is great, but we need support to rebuild life in Ukraine.
* Thank you to the entire Romanian people for their help to the refugees. I hope that Russia will give up the war and that these people will be able to return home.
* This experience of support and mutual respect between our peoples is an even greater basis for a closer relationship. When the situation allows, I want to start a dialogue with Romania in order to allow the full protection of our national minorities, the Romanian community in Ukraine and the Ukrainian community in Romania.
* Our future is together in a European family and I hope that in the near future I will address you with thanks for Romania’s full support for Ukraine’s entry into the European Union.
* Thank you. Long live Romania, long live Ukraine!
Related to Russian genocidal plans:
It was no coincidence and individual failures but thoroughly planned genocide the Kremlin spent years preparing for:
– Russia planned to easy-take Kyiv within 3 days, following by capitulation of Ukraine;
Russian army units were followed by thousands of riot police;
– Russian army purchased 45,000 body bags and brought mobile crematories; – I am sure they planned mass executions for Ukraine.
In September 2021, Russia has adopted a state technical standard for digging and maintaining mass graves amid wartime. It took effect on Feb 1st 2022.
According to experts, the size of mass graves foreseen by this new Russian technical standard, “are thinkable only for a nuclear war or a pandemic”. Looks like these graves were also foreseen for Ukrainians, as Russians published on 26th Feb their official article on “victory”.
The standard foresaw digging of isolated mass graves for up to 1,000 dead bodies each grave within 3 days. A team of 16 soldiers was responsible for every grave.
Summarising: it looks like Russia planned a fast victory over Ukrainian army, full occupation of Ukraine and a genocide, including mass executions of Ukrainian civil society leaders, politicians, cultural leaders, clerics, etc. The scale of planned genocide was unseen since WWII.
For understanding: here are details from the Russian State technical standard for mass graves, it describes with plans and pictures, how the grave should be dug+isolated, how corpses should be covered with chemicals and how the full grave should be trumped by a heavy bulldozer:

Don’t forget: on Feb 26th, 4 days after the planned attack on 22/02/22 (and 2 days after the real attack) Russia’s biggest state outlet RIA published (clearly out of mistake) an article about the victory over Ukraine and the final “solution of Ukrainian question” by this war.
So there is no surprise, WHY Ukrainians are not happy to listen to German advice (like by @JohannesVarwick
and other persons) to “capitulate and save lives”. Ukrainian may not know all the details of Putin’s plans, but they have all the experience of what Putin and Russia bring.
The guy who has signed the State Technical Standard on Mass Graves – Anton Shalayev – has studied in Berlin at @esmtberlin
and worked at a subsidiary of German TÜV Rheinland @tuvcom_cert
. Thank you for mentioning it, @BalticsGlobal
. One cannot invent it. It feels like a bad trip.

Romanians still have stories of entire villages supposedly “killing themselves” before Russian troops came through. Bucha is, even to the most skeptical, a ringing tone of familiarity.
I would be surprised if every country in the old Warsaw pact doesn’t have similar stories.
