This happens surprisingly often and captured a few drivers on cctv throwing out windows.

In this instance I got the registration and the tax ran out on 1st March – any thoughts on what I could/should do?

    How could something I’d never dream of doing come so freely to others? I genuinely find it baffling and utterly depressing. Where is the respect and consideration for others and our surroundings?

    What genuiely leads people to behave so depraved? Animals are much better than this.

  12. I just spent the evening with my Scouts group picking up litter in a local park as part of our activity.

    It’s shocking the amount of people that will choose to drop litter when there are bins provided.

    Dude could have taken that rubbish home with him and put it in his recycling bin.

    The problem is, there are so many people with the mindset that someone paid to do so will pick it. I have heard some justification like it gives them something to do.

    It’s absolutely disgusting, I honestly don’t understand it. I wish there was a police car behind him when he dropped that.

  17. Report it to the police AND the council. If you don’t do it ASAP, they’ll not bother pursuing it because they have to get to them in 14 days or some such bollocks.

I always remember this expensive looking new Merc, well-kept and obviously looked after with pride, gleaming from a good polish parked (where they shouldn’t have) outside near my apartment in a nice new area all very tidy and he literally got out of his car, well dressed youngish guy, and dumped a large McDonald’s meal bag on a seat and started to drive off, plenty of obvious bins around too. I happened to be on my bike riding around as this all unfolded and I rode past and took a photo which he noticed, he called out at me but eventually went back and put his litter in the bin. Such weird behaviour when he obviously cared so much about his personal possessions, I don’t put this down to social disorder as some do, just lazy over consumerism and trash food to go consumed for a quick buzz treating an area as a type of consumption that someone will tidy up after them.

    Context: Some of the people I love very dearly are very brown and Brit, and I’ve lately been alarmed at the amount of bigotry I’ve been seeing in UK subs (but not here for the most part) at anything negative where a non-white person’s involved, makes me a bit queasy sometimes

  27. I feel your pain. You should see what the kids in my neighbourhood do with their chicken and chips boxes and cans of beverages that they buy on their way home after school. Also, non-resident visitors to our local park that park their vehicles on nearby side roads (I’ve even seen a used disposable nappy).

  28. Please report it in every possible way! I live in a West Yorkshire village with amazing wildlife, some really rare species which have found homes on ex mining land. Many of us here feel genuinely privileged to live in such a place. There’s litter everywhere.

    (I also spend between a night and a week in London every month and was inside the M25 for much of my childhood, if you’re wondering why I’m here!)

    I have to pick up litter every time I walk my dog, because somehow throwing rubbish out of cars and buses has been normalised. Let’s all just fuck this behaviour right off♥️

  37. I saw someone do this while I was on a walk with a friend, they threw it not far from us too. Really trashy behaviour (ha) but I genuinely was shocked people have such little respect for the environment, it’s why we can’t have nice things….
