Back in Europe, Biden tries to show allies US is with them

  1. The problem is that this potentially is true for the next two years only until the next Trump-like president gets elected who will then turn the US’s foreign policy by 180 degrees. (Let’s say 170, because China seems to be the only thing they can agree on).

Angela Merkel once said “The vector sum of all political decisions is zero” and the US is a perfect example of that.

Edit: OK seems she only said “Political decisions are the vector sum of all interest groups” and then climate scientist Hans Joachim Schellnhuber said that this sum is zero.

  2. I doubt Europeans are stupid enough to fall for this. The president seems to be utterly irrelevant in the USA, just different hats on the same establishment. And that establishment absolutely sees the EU as a rival.

It has 3 major geopolitical enemies, China (full spectrum enemy, hard, soft and economic), Russia (a soft power enemy) and the EU (an economic enemy).

  3. He still hasn’t even undone the steel tariffs, but rather just took the opportunity provided by trumps trade war nonsense to implement some arbitrary bullshit quota system that neither achieves anything meaningful for the US nor satisfies allies. Also it breaks WTO rules.
