Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik has met with Governor of Russia’s Krasnoyarsk Krai Mikhail Kotyukov on the sidelines of a presentation of the region’s potential for diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow, sb.by reports with reference to the Embassy of Belarus in Russia

“The parties discussed in detail the current areas of co-operation between Belarus and the Krasnoyarsk Krai, paying special attention to the expansion of the volume and range of supplies of Belarusian machinery and products for public transport, taking into account the regional programmes for public transport modernisation. Mr. Rogozhnik informed the partners about the export support and credit instruments available for Belarusian machinery.
“We have identified promising growth points, especially in the field of industrial co-operation. We have agreed that the favourable geographical location of the region, its transport and logistical capabilities, the available human and educational potential will enable us to implement large-scale joint projects for the assembly, localisation and maintenance of Belarusian machinery, as well as the creation of a multi-brand centre for our equipment. The Ambassador also suggested using the capabilities of Belarusian organisations in the design and construction of social facilities in the region, as well as the metro in Krasnoyarsk,” the diplomatic service gave the details. “The high level of co-operation between Belarus and the Russian region has been also noted in education, culture and sports. We have agreed to promote the expansion of youth exchanges, including in the context of preserving the memory of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.”
The programme of the future visit of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor to Belarus was also discussed.
“It was agreed that a delegation of representatives of the management of leading Belarusian industrial enterprises will be sent to the region in the near future to finalise the agreements reached,” the Belarusian Embassy added.
