JJ who will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, performed “Wasted Love” live on television.

As is near tradition, the Austrian representative in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest performed during ‘Dancing Stars’. JJ will took to the stage yesterday evening for his first television performance of “Wasted Love”, as the Eurovision Song Contest draws ever closer.

Austria is currently the second favourite to win the Eurovision Song Contest, the best pre-contest betting odds position for the country in the past decade.

JJ was announced as representing Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on January 30 with “Wasted Love” revealed on March 6.  Three juries selected the Austrian representative: a 30 member national and international jury of music experts, a 30 member jury of Eurovision fans from 5 OGAE clubs, and the ORF Eurovision editorial team.

JJ is set to perform sixth in Semi-Final Two of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on March 15.

Austria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. Bob Martin represented the country on their debut but finished in the last place scoring just 3 points. Austria has won the contest twice, the first being in 1966 when Udo Jürgens performed “Merci, Cherie”. It was 48 years later when Austria won again when Conchita Wurst performed “Rise Like a Phoenix”, scoring a total of 290 points.
