  7. Cardinal Mauro Gambetti was trained by Pope Francis: Although he was not a bishop, Pope Francis appointed him Cardinal.
    He prepared him to govern within the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life. He then appointed him Vicar General for Vatican City State.
    He then prepared him for legislation by making him a member of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State.
    Finally, he appointed him Judge on the Court of Cassation of Vatican City State.
    Cardinal Gambetti is charismatic and has served in the Dicastery for Communication.

  8. I'm a Muslim. My dad and watched the televised funeral mass for Pope JP2 celebrated by the future Pope Benedict. By chance he looked at the camera (the people) and I thought woah! Is he the next pope?

    Apparently, Pope Francis was the other favorite at the conclave electing Pope Benedict.

    Wasn't the American cardinal the one who announced Pope Francis' death? So…Idk.😊

  9. Remember that 40% of Catholics are Latin American and 30ish are European. Very small catholics in Asia and Africa, mostly just Philippines and DRC. Don't let these lists sway you. These are all for fun, but the truth is that it will be a either European or Latin American again.

    Race and nationality are not something they look at. Everyone on these lists are very political cardinals like Tagle and Sarah which make them highly unlikely. It will be someone you haven't even heard off.

I hope that the new Papal name of Cardinal Antonio Luis Tagle should be POPE PHILIP since the name of the Philipines, just like King Philip II, was taken from the 12 Apostles of the New Testament. I am also excited to hear Cardinal Tagle as the New Pope speak and pray in the Latin language prayer like the Holy Mary , and in his hometown in Cavite, should build a LARGE church called ST. PHILIP'S BASILICA.

  39. No to a candidate who's into politics, who divided the people instead of uniting them. Not someone who just keeps quiet about the abuses of his fellow priests in the provinces. Not someone who just lets his priests friends accept luxury cars as gifts from rich politicians/ businessmen.

  40. cardinal tagle has won the hearts of many catholics not only in the philippines, but around the world. he has a strong pastoral background, has a youthful energy, and has progressive views about how the church shares its doctrines that will make the church relevant to the current times. we can all agree that he is the asian francis. that he can speak many languages is also a plus. i pray that that conclave will discern, not only on the basis of their own interests, but taking into account the voice of the people.

  43. Politics does not have anything to do with it you are not Catholic apparently and your culture has nothing to do with it it's up to God they pray they Ponder for days and then they make a decision from God nothing to do with politics
