  4. Either that, or Zelensky was willing to discuss options with Trump while at the Vatican, amazing when Trump makes it all about him, something gets done.

  6. He’s going to try to blame Putin so it’s not his fault that he, “The Great Dealmaker”, couldn’t force a terrible capitulation from Ukraine in his first 100 days in office. Good on Ukraine.

  18. The end of the war for Putin is when Ukraine is part of Russia. That should be obvious by now.

  19. Here’s how this part of Trump’s master plan of goes. First he embraces a dictator, showing Americans they aren’t bad and getting them accustomed to believing that. Next he tries to work with one (you pick, Putin, Kim). When he can’t get that dictator to cooperate with his plan, he falsely stands up to them, lying about how much effort he has put into seeking a resolution, (think Kim first term, Putin second term). Finally, he will say something along the lines of, “only I can be trusted”, “we can’t be a dictatorship, cause I’m not liked by them”! There you have it.

  21. He always repeats what the last person told him. In this case it was Zelensky. Wait a few hours until Krasnov gets a call from his boss to switch back to Russian talking points.

    They will see capitulation and appeasement as proof that their opponent is weak, and as encouragement to continue the war.

    The only thing that has worked to keep Russia in check is NATO. And they *constantly* complain about how unfair it is that NATO shields nations that they think should rightfully be easy prey.

  31. This all has to do with Trump’s obsession with Obama and trying to outdo him in every way possible (not going to happen). It’s why he claims the 2020 election was “stolen” because otherwise Obama outdoes him having won a 2nd term. It’s also why he wants to run for a third term.

    Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine is in Trump’s mind his ticket to the Nobel peace prize. Another Obama achievement. Trump thinking only of himself felt as though the fast-track to end the war was to give Russia everything it wants and force Ukraine to accept defeat. Obviously he doesn’t give a shit about right and wrong. He’s only now coming to the conclusion that Putin is an equal narcissist who doesn’t care about ending this war, only about subjugating Ukraine and stealing their country.

I genuinely have no idea if he’s an actual Russian agent or he’s so riddled with dementia and drugs to keep him alive that he just believes the last thing people tell him, and as he’s surrounded by other Russian agents that’s his opinion 99% of the time
