I’ve been running for ages and have only ever ran up to 5k until today. Im allowing myself to be abit smug about th what life smashed it in under 1hr 15!

Any other fellow runners here?

  1. A fellow ‘trying to be a runner’. Best I’ve managed is 8k – bloody well done for smashing this one!

  2. As someone aspiring to achieve a park run and struggling I can massively appreciate how much this means! Well done!

  3. OP: Congrats. Not a bad time either! Well done 👏🏽

  4. Would love to be able to smash out a 10k.
    Well done kid.

  5. Good job. I’m doing a 10k in 2 weeks and 1:10 is exactly my aim. 8k is the most I’ve done so far, 9k tomorrow though!

  6. I caught the running bug probably 15 years ago now – used to run as fast as I could but learned a year or so ago that pace isn’t everything – I run to my heartbeat now (target is your max -40) and found I get way fewer injuries. I find I can do 3-4 10k’s a week under this regime. Costs an extra 15 mins a run but it’s worth it

  7. Congrats! Always nice to tick off distance milestones! Well done.

  8. Well done, that’s a great time! Are you planning any other 10km runs or further distances? I’ve been running since the first lockdown and absolutely love it – ultra marathons are now more my thing, mainly because I get to eat loads en route!

  9. I started 2 days ago and did 2km. Hope to get to your level 💪

  10. Nice! Did you just jump straight from 5->10 or work your way up?

  11. Amazing, i wish i had the same determination.

I attempted sit ups & realised i’m out of shape

  12. Well done! I can only manage 5k at the moment a couple of times per week. How long did it take you to get from 5k distances to 10k?

  13. Congratulations! I started running in Feb and have quickly become addicted! Keep it up 👍

  14. Well done – 10km is my happy distance. I hope this is not your last! PS London Marathon ballot is open….

  15. I recently did my first ever 10k last month after I decided to start running in January- congratulations on hitting that milestone it’s a huge achievement! I was basically completely dead for hours after the first 10k (and honestly still am dead after every single one I do), keep it up but make sure to not push yourself too far.

  16. As someone who doesn’t run, is 1000 calories burned accurate?

  17. As someone who runs alot but is scuppered by motivation only. It’s amazing the difference when you get back into the swing of things. You’ll run a certain distance the first time and will be really struggling. 4 runs later you do the same distance and you breeze it. I’d really recommend people turn it into a game of exploring your local area… I can get to park entrance in 16 minutes, I can get there in 15, 14, 13, 12 and 11 BOOM. That’s 5 minutes faster. Now unlock the next level etc.
