  5. Still cannot believe how hard WB completely BEEFED by not rereleasing the LOTR trilogy into theaters during their 20th: They left a ton of money on the table.

  6. Went to see it on Thursday, it holds up 100%. I haden’t seen it fully since I was a kid but i left feeling “they don’t make blockbusters like this anymore.”

    A lot of this might be nostalgia goggles, but still, it’s somehow equal parts funny, tragic, melodramatic and yet fully sincere. Hayden Christiansen is much better that people give him credit for, his scenes with Padmé work perfectly well in the context of the movie. The visual art direction is astonishing and the visual effects aged surprisingly well (again, within the context of the movie).

  8. Reddit really hates the prequel trilogy. And yes, it has many issues and I know that critics and a large chunk of the general audience hated it too, so it’s not just Reddit

    But I recently rewatched the whole thing along with the original trilogy and I think that, overall, the prequel trilogy is pretty satisfying. It tells a great story, even if the dialogue is often shit and it has some cringe scenes. I think most of the core cast does an amazing job acting-wise, especially Hayden Christensen

    Personally, I really enjoy the tragic, weird, creepy direction that Lucas took the prequels in

  10. So like I hate all of the prequels and yes the is the best of the worst but I still think this movie is terrible. How much nostalgia has been attached to it over time.

  11. They need to stop making remakes and just re-release things in theater. Imagine how much og star wars would make for the millions who wished they were there in the 70s.

  14. This was the one I could take seriously of the prequels but the problem still remains, I just never saw Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. My brain just couldn’t accept it.

  18. I saw this on Memorial Day weekend the year it came out. I enjoyed it. Time to see it again!
