  38. Sorry, it remains inevitable that Trump will betray Ukraine by leaving the whole affair, and  completely halting the weaponry and monetary aid we’ve been providing. Either Ukraine will be forced to agree to a bad faith deal where they give up all occupied territory in exchange for no assurances of any value, or Europeans drastically invest in their own defenses and get directly involved in peacekeeping, or they continue fighting with less hope of success. There is no chance that Trump does the right thing and increases funding and weapons so they can win this fight, or successfully sanctions Russia enough to collapse their economy. I wish this were not the case, but it’s very hard for me to see a different outcome.
