4. Even if we took the Panama Canal back and ran it ourselves it wouldn’t be free to cross. It costs money to run that thing. Does he imagine it’s just an open waterway? There are multiple locks to maintain and manage, tugs to run, tons of infrastructure and logistics to handle…

5. I mean, the Panama Canal you can kind of see some twisted justification for it but the Suez? Maybe he is adding that in to make his one absurd demand sound like a reasonable compromise.

8. Aren’t these the people that say everyone wants free stuff and handouts? How’s come they want a service they didn’t pay for now? Maybe they should collect a fee to maintain the canal, I think we will call it…….. a tax! So you pay this tax to maintain the canal and in turn you get to use it because nothing is free. Crazy concept

11. How many ships that sail are currently US flagged? It was my understanding that for tax and insurance reasons most commercial vessels were flagged for other countries.
