  2. Why in God’s name is going on here with the takeaway shop can anyone please explain how a Chinese takeaway shop has anything to do with Mexican food.

  3. The Chinese says 美食家 which means gourmet/fine food. It’s pronounced měi shí jiā, so the name is a bad anglicisation of the Chinese.

    Sorry to ruin the fun.

    Edit: nvm. Cantonese pronunciation is mei sik ga. Makes even more sense.
