  3. Russia no longer has the upper hand. Europe and previously the US, along with some other nations have done what is reasonable to assist. There won’t be any peace deal or even a cease fire for a long time becaise the contest of wills is not over yet. Ukraine can’t accept any deal that is based on the good faith of Russia, because there is no good faith to be had.

    Russia needs to be disarmed down to a small self defense force in the style of Japan. Eventually we will get there with Europe supplying Ukraine with arms and ammunition. It is all a huge tragedy with all the death and destruction due to one man’s imperial ambitions.
