It's Monday and I'm not particularly happy about it. How about yourselves?
Come and have a natter about your weekends, the week ahead, and anything else that takes your fancy.

Here we go again
Doing overtime for 1.5x pay for a job I love. I might be the happiest bloke in London this Monday.
Finally got this year’s boredom buster bead boxes complete and packed into crates ready to go this summer – 592 completely ready to go, and enough stuff bagged up to make about 200 more =D
Absolutely bloody sick of tiny ziplock baggies; gone through around 5,000. Amazon must think I’ve got a drug problem.
Also went out with my sister for a fart around the shops and a farm shop yesterday, which was a lovely sunny few hours mooching.
Since I was stuck indoors because I live about 100 yards from the marathon start line yesterday, I made so much stuff – a lovely beef casserole, homemade yoghurt, a fruit compote to go on top of the homemade yoghurt, homemade marshmallows (made from real marshmallow root) and a dandelion & burdock cordial.
Today is trying not to eat all the marshmallows as they’re really yummy whilst sitting in Teams meetings.
Never sleep well on a Sunday, so today will be sponsored by coffee and a mild sense of dread.
Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh
Running on 3 hours sleep
Should have really taken the day off ill. Dragged myself into the office due to ongoing projects. If I get any worse though I’m getting myself home.
Not to be a massive bellend
But I’ve got 2 weeks off.
Booked today off work weeks ago because I’m addicted to the bank holiday feeling!
Just now woke up an hour after my alarm would have and I’m feeling fresh. Got yesterday’s takeaway ready to reheat and a lovely day of sun predicted. Great usage of annual leave I reckon.
First day back at work after two weeks off… Grasp the nettle. Lick the toad. It won’t be as bad as I think it’s going to be.
My face looks like Pingu’s.
I haven’t slept yet… content deadline for midday, the joys of freelance (my work is currently exporting so sweet rest awaits me soon)
Up at 5, tried not to wake up the house. Just got to work. Cleaning my teeth in the car park!
My shift pattern means Monday is my last working day of the week, I love my job, have great colleagues, and the forecast is great for my day off tomorrow when I’m off to the beach, so I don’t want to be a dick but I’m feeling pretty good this morning!
Apparently it’s going to be up to 25 degrees this week and the air conditioning in the office has been nonexistent for the past six months. I can’t wait.
I’m already running about 30 mins behind so I will be late for work. Need another day of weekend!
I spent yesterday walking around an airfield looking at a car show, there was no shade but there was a lovely breeze keeping me cool so I didn’t notice how sunburnt I’d gotten until this morning…dammit.
It’s a beautiful day down here on the south coast… So of course I’m being dragged into London to spend in a sequence of packed commuter trains, grubby tube carriages and inane meetings when a zoom from the patio would have achieved the same.
Living the dream
Expect I’ll have a fairly easy week. I’ve booked next week off cos I realised I’ve not had any time off since mum died in January, and that wasn’t exactly a holiday. So yeah I’ll put the snooker on at the side, take on an easy piece of work, finish up a few bits and try to time my hours to get out for a hike and enjoy the incoming nice weather as best I can.
Didn’t sleep well last night and my neck is very sore from a fitness class yesterday. I also don’t want to be sat in an air conditioned office all day, I’d rather be sat out in my garden with a book. Bah.
Nice day. I’ll be alternating between brewing beer in a hot tiny room and sitting outside the brewery on my little bench reading a book in the sun.
I love my job
