    I have to be honest, it would feel insulting. But if it worked, it would be a sacrifice I’d be willing to make. I’d be happy to be proven wrong if Ukraine could benefit from it.

  9. Well, I always get flamed in here when I post, but here goes:

    One reason Trump got elected is because he wanted to eliminate income taxes here in the US on the elderly who live on Social Security, people who live on tips, and income tax on overtime for folks who have to work extra hours to feed their families.

    The Democrat party voted UNANIMOUSLY against these tax cuts which is why their approval rating has fallen below 25%, (The bill passed).

    One other main reason is because he promised to do his best to deport millions of immigrants that flooded our border without visas, vetting or other due process.

    These are critical DOMESTIC issues.

    I do not agree that the USA needs to be “paid back” for it’s support of Ukraine, but if he insists that can be done via the minerals deal, and Zelenskyy has proposed 50 billion in new arms SALES to Ukraine with financial backing from the EU (using some of the 300 billion in Russian assets). If Trump agrees with this, I expect the Republcan Party will march in lockstep behind the idea. (And the Democrats will oppose it just because it’s Trump).

    Our country is so polarized right now that one party will vote against any proposal by the opposition.

  12. Just dream for a moment, when Trump came to office if he said to Russia “get out of Ukraine now” and backed it up with saying Nato will kick you out, and followed through with it. How would he be perceived now?
