To remind those who’ve forgotten, this working week will end on Wednesday, after which the holiday will up to and including next Monday – five free days in a row.
During the short working week, the air temperature in the afternoons will mostly be in the range of +12 Celsius to +17 Celsius, a little cooler on the coast. Night-time temperatures will be between +2 C and +8 C.
It will probably rain in some parts of Latvia every day, and short-term heavy rain showers and thunderstorms are also expected in some places.
The warmest weather of the long weekend will be on Friday, May 2, when the temperature in Latvia will reach up to +20 Celsius, though the weather will still be cooler on the coast, but gusty winds will blow on this day as well and short-term rain is expected in many places, in some places with thunderstorms.
During the holiday weekend, the temperature will only reach +10 C to +16 degrees, it will often be windy and rain is also expected, so it is likely to be less than classic conditions.
There will be no more widespread frosts this week, but it cannot be ruled out that there may be slight frost at ground level in some places on some nights.
