It’s known in Greece that this Oligarch, Filaret Galchev or known as Filaretos Kaltsidis has a huge vacation home and yacht (90M$) in the South of the Peloponnese, Koroni. I’m trying to find out what Greece has done and if his assets are seized or not considering he’s on the Russian Oligarch list of close to Putin # 25… see link.

I’m a Belgian expat living here since 2015 and my son, 21 years old from my first marriage lives in Kiev and trying to get him out but due to his age not possible. I don’t speak or read Greek so not sure if this Oligarch Galchev is being prosecuted in Greece and I contacted Greekreporter.com to find out but without any result yet.
If any of you know anything more about this please let me know, it’s just disgusted that these friends of Putin enjoy the good life while thousands of innocent people, women, children and soldiers are dying because of a megalomaniac his psychopathic ideas.

Why is not possible for your son to live Ukraine? Is he ethnic Ukrainian?
They should not seize his property. Also Ribolovlef invested much more money (>250M) in Scorpios island and all the construction is made through greek labor. He also left Russia many years ago.
Kaltsidis has also a geek nationality. What you say is not valid.
Also why your son does not left Kiev?
Probably a matter of time, Greece will have to follow through sooner or later. If we don’t will probably be pressured into it.
If we (as EU) start doing this, I say we begin with the Saudis.
This isn’t just in Greece, but across the EU/EEA/CH/UK, some Russian oligarchs with dual citizenship are not being sanctioned, or they’re slow to act. This guy acquired Greek citizenship years ago. I’m not saying it’s right, but there may be legal complications, or they’re slow to act on many of them. It’s an interesting question.
He’s not on the [EU’s Sanctions list](https://eeas.europa.eu/headquarters/headquarters-homepage_en/8442/Consolidated%20list%20of%20sanctions), btw.
So the EU, so far, doesn’t think he should be sanctioned.

“Prosecuted” and sanctioned are two different things. Oligarchs are being sanctioned, not prosecuted.
Hey, local here,
He is a greek national so no prosecution.
Also if you live near Koroni you will know that he practically runs the place.
He doesn’t even get a traffic ticket for that ferrari going through villages with ungodly speed.
