I have a hobby that consists of me making soups from around the world, and making videos of it!
I made Lohikeitto about 6 months ago, and wanted to see what you think of how I did it, and do you have any complaints about my recipe!
I made Fieskesuppe couple of weeks ago, and I say this, not because Im here, but because it’s true, Lohikeitto is superior 😀
How often do you eat Lohikeitto, or Fieskesuppe for that matter?
Thanks for all of the replies!
You did great! This could be lohikeitto i make when having a busy day and no time to make stock. I also use some whole black and all-spice peppercorns in lohikeitto. And normally i buy whole fish, fillet, freeze one fillet for later use , make stock from bones+head and use other fillet for soup.
I am not sure what fieskesuppe is, but i assume it is fish soup? I love normal fish soup as well, made similar way than lohikeitto but using other fish (burbot is really nice if you manage to grab one). I like my fish soup creamy and dill and butter is always a must. You can replace cream with Koskenlaskija cheese (processed cheese bit similar to those triangles in a round box with cow on the label sold in Lidl) for some extra nice flavour.
