  1. I think it is going to take many tries. Eventually it might just work. I would like the option with the least suffering for 500, Alex.

  2. Honestly, it’s just… wild that we’re at this point again, considering the serious accusations surrounding the creation of this “Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)” and, well, Elon Musk’s involvement, I mean, what were the exact steps that led to him being granted oversight over something so central to government, and how did that happen at all? It’s disturbing, and the fact that Rep. Thanedar represents Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, including Detroit, Downriver, and the Grosse Pointes, shows the need for constituents to hold him accountable for these actions, really, I’m just trying to understand it all.

  3. I support this. We have got to stop saying x, y, z thing is performative and waste of time. That’s defeatist rhetoric. Look at what they do; they keep bringing up the same nonsense, and double down on it, and repeat it religiously over and over and over again until everyone gets tired of fighting it. We are never going to achieve anything under this “administration” unless we start adopting some of their strategies.

  4. We need to flip the republican senate and have them convict

  5. They need to keep doing this. Introduce new ones every time he does something impeachable, and get all of his egregious lawless actions on record. Even if it won’t move forward, NOT introducing them when they are CLEARLY AND REPEATEDLY called for just makes the Democrats look weak and uninterested in contesting Trump. Performative stuff STILL COUNTS if it includes getting evidence of Trump’s MANY instances of lawlessness and corruption into the record.

  6. Introduce a different article of impeachment every day for the rest of this congressional session. I guarantee the Democrats can come up with an impeachable offense per day for Trump.

  7. Being bold enough to actually use the term “High crimes” is *chefs kiss.

  8. Well, they always say you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. So .0000001% chance of making it is something I guess.

  9. Has anyone even seen Mike Johnson this year? Fucker disappeared

  10. Don’t impeach Trump. Impeach the power structure beneath him. Vance, Homan, Miller, Musk, Bondi, Patel, Thomas, go after those guys – make it as unsafe to support Trump as it is to oppose him; and put the fear of the rule of law in his sycophants.

Make it so that joining his administration is regarded as too high a cost, while showing the spectating public that you’re capable of fighting.

  11. This stuff has no chance of working (already tried it in 2016 admin) and only further inflames his base.

  12. Keep spamming these and putting pressure on the Republicans in Congress to do their fucking job.

  13. thank god….

can someone plz do something similar on 25th amendment?

    like mentally health professionals..

  14. do people think it is zero % chance in 4 years that 67 senators (20 republican) would vote to remove Trump from office?

i think if it was “secret ballot”, it would be way above 50 already…..

  15. “Tyrannical Overreach” is excellent word choice, more of this please.

  16. Good. Every Democrat should be doing this every day. Print it out and drop it on Johnson’s desk. Every single person, every single day.

  17. Even if he is impeached and even if he is removed we still have Vance and the other cronies messing things up. I don’t see a win or positive outcome no matter what happens. Could be wrong but as long as Vance stands to inherit presidency if/when trump is deposed of we still have the same system in place. Trump and Vance both need to be gone.

  18. you need white people names backing these bills if you want a chance to change a maggat’s mind about dear leader.

  19. Getting rid of Trump is a nice start, but how do we get rid of everyone else enabling his atrocities?

  20. Sorry Rep. Green, too late. Thanedar beat ya to the punch.

  21. I know this doesn’t have even a bit of a chance of making a difference since Republicans control both chambers and remain notoriously anti America. However, what else are we supposed to do?

Trump is a menace and he’s a shit president that also tried to steal an election.

If all we can do is Booker length speeches and articles of impeachment then we should be doing that every fucking day until midterms and then continue on after that until this seditious bastard is out of office

  22. anyone saying “I hope this works” should be saying “this better fucking work because he qualifies for it a million times over”. Jesus h Christ, I can’t believe people are so conditioned to not even realize what qualities governance should have.

  23. This needs to go a few steps further and implicate SCOTUS justices that are corrupt and allowed this as well. Follow it up by going after legislators that are corrupt.

  24. Good. At the very least this keeps a running track record for historical sake about all the impeachable offenses. If we come out of this to rebuild our Republic, it’ll be a critical element to strengthening the safe guards to prevent it from happening again.

  25. I’m all for this. Keep doing this.

I’m just going to say that I am broken. I have no faith in our politicians oath to the Constitution. All I see is political expedience. The desire to Maintain power. Too much money in politics. You can’t be called public service if you’re getting paid so much to do it. Fast food workers are performing more of a public service then today’s politicians

  26. Every state needs to do this. Keep doing it. He and the entire rotten minion horde must go NOW!

  27. I’m not going to be optimistic. But after 3 months of waking up every morning worried about all the cruel thoughtless turmoil 1 man is putting the world in, this is a bit of relief.

Also according to [this Axios article](https://www.axios.com/2025/04/28/articles-of-impeachment-trump-shri-thanedar):
    >Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) also privately floated impeaching Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard over Signalgate.

I didn’t know impeachment was an option for these people. YES, by all means file articles of impeachment against them, any other government worker doing what they did would be fired and/or in prison! These people aren’t qualified for the job, at all, and they need to go.

  28. I should not be surprised at all, given that “Thanedar” is a Hindi word which literally means in charge of police station!!

  29. The surname Thanedar…..that’s Hindi for a Jailer!!!

At least I wonder if that’s how it’s pronounced

    Report from the Senate Floor:

Last night in the Senate, something really important happened. Republicans forced us to debate their billionaire bailout budget framework. We started voting at 6 PM because they knew doing it in the dark of night would minimize media coverage. And they do not want the American people to see how blatant their handover of our government to the billionaire class is.

So I want to explain what happened last night and what we did to fight back. The apex of Republicans’ plan to turn over our government to their wealthy cronies is a giant tax cut for billionaires and corporations. And they plan to pay for it with cuts to programs that working people rely on. Popular and necessary programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP, are all being targeted. In order to pass the tax cut, Republicans have to go through a series of procedural steps. Last night, they took the first step which requires them to pass an outline of their plan, but with it, any senator can offer as many amendments as we want. So my Democratic colleagues and I did just that.

Now, we knew that Republicans would largely unanimously oppose them, but we had two objectives here. One, Republicans were forced to put their opinion on record — many for the first time — on the most corrupt parts of Trump and Musk’s agenda. Two, as I’ve been saying, I am going to make every process and procedure as slow and painful as possible for as long as my colleagues choose to ignore the constitutional crisis happening before our eyes.

So what did we propose? We proposed no tax cuts for anyone who makes a billion dollars a year. We made them vote on whether or not Elon Musk and DOGE should have limitless access to Americans’ personal data. We made them vote on whether to protect IVF and require insurers to cover it. Every single amendment Democrats proposed was shot down. On almost every single amendment, Republicans universally opposed it. Every Republican voted against our proposal to prevent more tax cuts for billionaires. The corruption and theft is happening in the open here.

The whole game for Republicans is taking your money and giving it to the wealthiest corporations and billionaires — even if it means kicking your parents out of a nursing home or turning off Medicaid for the poorest children. They know what they are doing is deeply unpopular. They are offering a tax cut to the most wealthy that is 850 times larger than what they are offering working people. Oh and by the way, any tax cuts for working people are going to be washed out by higher costs for basic necessities, like health care and food. It’s a fundamental injustice.

Thanks to your pressure and support, many of my Democratic colleagues have joined my effort to do everything we can to make sure they cannot destroy democracy and steal your money in the dark of the night. We are being loud about what is happening. I’m going to continue to grind the gears of Congress down as much as possible to make it that much harder and slower to get away with this corruption. That’s why the votes lasted until nearly 5 AM.

This is a five-alarm fire. I don’t think we have two years to plan and fight back. I think we have months. It’s still in our power to stop the destruction of our democracy with mass mobilization and effective opposition from elected officials. So we can’t miss any opportunity to take advantage of opportunities to put Republicans on the record and shine a light on what is happening.

And you have a role to play in this as well. I need you to amplify what’s happening, support the leaders who are fighting for you to make sure they can continue speaking truth to power against Musk and Trump’s billionaire cronies, and show up at rallies and town halls. Use every tool at your disposal to send a message loud and clear about how you expect my colleagues to lead and fight in this moment.

    Every best wish,

    US Senator Chris Murphy

  31. Anyone remember when this would have been a big deal? Now it’s “meh, they won’t actually do anything”. The USA dying from apathy.

  32. If people think impeachment is meaningless, just go straight to indictment for treason, arrest him, put him in prison, hold the trial, convict him, and throw away the key. When everyone around him, under him and over him is a criminal, who do not, will not, and tell us they do not and will not follow laws, one cannot follow the usual procedures. They too must be indicted simultaneously. Otherwise, we are just lost forever.

  33. Finally. More of this, please. Doesn’t matter that it’ll likely fail.

  34. I’m here for it. It needs to be done.

However, there are only two outcomes:

    1. He will be impeached and absolutely nothing will be done about it.

    2. He will not be impeached and absolutely nothing will be done about it.

  35. Articles of impeachment need to be introduced EVERY SINGLE TIME Donald Trump does something impeachable.

And every time he does it again, they need to introduce another Articles of Impeachment with the latest violation tacked onto the end.

Make that list grow. Get it on the record, for every Republican who votes in favor of Donald Trump staying in office and being okay with his violations of the constitution and abuses of power.
