  1. “Up to 20% of Gaza’s estimated 55,000 pregnant women are malnourished, and half face high-risk pregnancies, according to the United Nations Population Fund, or UNFPA. In February and March, at least 20% of newborns were born prematurely or suffering from complications or malnutrition.”

This stuck out to me and I find it critical that the world understands that the horror being inflicted upon 2+ million people isn’t simply the death toll that Israel created via bombardment.

Millions are being denied basic human needs like food, easy access to medical care and shelter. We can see it’s taking its toll on thousands of innocents. Including women and children. The world must hold Israeli leadership accountable.

  2. Despite how terrible things are, i find it quite hard to understand why people would think about having kids in such conditions… i know mistakes happen and stuff or that they may want a kid with their beloved before they die or something but it still is bad idea imo. Though i Hope they make it out safely and i hope thier kids have a better future than what their parents had.

  3. Oh no. Well, that’s just too bad, isn’t it? Maybe better luck trying to close your legs next time. Perhaps the bombing is not as bad as the media is portraying, if people are out there having a good time.

  4. My friend told me that this proves this isn’t a genocide and Palestinians have it fine since they have the leisure to have sex and get pregnant..

I reminded them that thousands of babies were born during the holocaust and and millions by American black slaves. They told me it’s not the same

I also saw a thread recently in the IsraelPalestine group of hundreds of people condemning “evil Palestinian women for being so selfish and irresponsible to not use birth control or abstain from sex bringing a child into that horrible environment. Then having the audacity to beg for extra aid”

The audacity to acknowledge how horrible the conditions are in Gaza to not bring a kid into while supporting furthering the harm. Expecting access to birth control while supporting blocking basic necessities such as food and aid. It’s so ignorant and culturally chauvinistic. While insanely naive to not understand our privilege we have to decide whether it’s financially/ safely viable to have a kid.

But nothing is more disgusting than the absolutely horrific mentality to think it’s not only okay to take someone’s home, basic human rights, their loved ones, their voice, their culture but also the most fundamental part of being human- love and procreation.

I never in my life thought that my generation would ever repeat the horrors we learned about in history. But that just says more about the sheltered ignorant and privileged life I get to have
