On Monday, President Donald Trump named the 20 people who will lead the council charged with reforming the Federal Emergency Management Agency. On that list is former Mississippi governor Phil Bryant. Trump announced the FEMA review council in the first days of his second term tasking the people involved with streamlining operations for federal relief. That council includes members of Trump’s cabinet, sitting governors and emergency management leaders among others. Bryant met with the president at Mar-A-Lago in Florida leading up to his inauguration.The appointment comes as Mississippi still has a pending FEMA request for last month’s deadly tornado outbreak.
