Trump’s efforts to split Europe and China on clean energy fall flat. At a 60 nation summit on energy security last week the Trump team argued that the world is better off embracing fossil fuels than pursuing a clean energy future. It was met with a shrug. “It was ideology versus reality.”

  23. And this comes after the angry orange clown attacked Europe, claimed they are taking advantage of the US, hit them with tarrifs. He treated them not as allies, but as if they were our enemies. Vance went over there and insulted them, talked down to them, lectured them. Trump just told Canadians again that they should become a state. Then he expects these countries to listen to his energy strategy and join him in going against China. Reality is he’s left a big vacuum in the world, the trusted, stable, dependable US is no more. And China is working to fill that vacuum.

  27. The massive blackout in Spain and Portugal happening now is because of an atmospheric phenomenon. Continued use of fossil fuels will make this aggressively worse. The ones who will face the consequences and suffer and unfortunately die in large numbers are not the ones pushing for fossil fuels. The ones pushing for fossil fuels are rich, powerful, and in the sunset years of their lives. They’ll be dead soon and couldn’t care less about the planet, the people, and the environment.

    We’re being pushed and shoved into unnecessary culture wars by large corporations as a diversion tactic, so as a divided collective, we’re easier to deceive for their personal benefits. Unfortunate

    Funny these people are interested in building an economy around manufacturing clean energy products domestically. We just talk about doing that, or rather have concepts of plans to do it.

Facts are 35 – 40% of our population wants to return to a time in the past and voted for it – they can’t handle reality or the future and think they can magically make it happen by voting for a dude who lies to them and tells them what they want to hear and those that are behind him understand how to use the fear of change and the future to get him elected – this country is on the wrong fucking path to Russia or N Korea and the rest of the world is leaving us behind.
