Infrastructure taking a siesta
This is kinda nostalgic actually. I went and bought a cheap car headunit and hooked it up to some lead-acid batteries i had gotten for free. I hooked it up to some old speakers i had lying around and used it as a stereo system. I didn’t have a lot of money at the time, so this worked pretty well!
The advantage of being off grid and sailing the air waves.

I finally had an excuse to use my battery-powered radio. Also I only worked till 12:30. We could repeat this every monday.

I just pulled out of my pocket my old OG Sony Xperia 10, plugged in some headphones and launched the radio app.
I think I bought the USB device/antenna combo for around €30 on AliExpress and the software plus extra plugins are free. Look up RTL-SDR on YouTube.
