Celebrated as a superfood, avocados are so popular in Europe and North America that global production has tripled in two decades. But their farming and transport worldwide raise environmental concerns. As Europe’s top consumer, France is now growing its own, a surprising move given that avocados are a subtropical fruit. 1. Actually no surprising. Avocado grow in mediterranean climate. The issue is just water.. Lots of it. Its very very thirsty. If they can get the water, it will grow but there is not enough water for industrial scale..

  2. Reduce avocado consumption?!, no madam I can leave alcohol but not avocados. I am planning to plant 24+ trees this year over the rainy season so that I never use my water. Avocado 🥑 is life 😭😍.

  3. Thought experiment for modelling
    Josephine Kühn

    The year is 2045.
We are on the way to 4°C above pre-industrial levels in 2100.
The 17 cities of Munich, Berlin, Dresden, Frankfurt/M, Hamburg, Paris, Helsinki, Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Madrid, Lisbon, Rome, Riga, Bucharest, Athens and Edinburgh
would like to know the predicted temperatures for each month of this year (the lowest and highest), the predicted amount of precipitation (minimum/maximum) per month and a direct comparison with the years 1990 and 1970.
Extra feature, if feasible at all, the probability of storms per month or droughts would be of interest.

    But
2045 is also the year of the collapse of the AMOC.
It is said that it will be about 3°C colder per decade of AMOC collapse, on the other hand it is said that the AMOC collapse will make winters in Northern Europe about 20°C colder overall, in Central Europe they will be 10°C colder and in Southern Europe about 5°C colder.

What would the most likely monthly projections for each city look like for the years 2055, 2065, 2075 and 2085?
A reduced model could, for example, consider only 7 cities, roughly spread over the different latitudes.
This is very important for us Europeans to know, to know what to prepare for.
    Thank you very much.

  4. To boost France's production of Avocados French territories in the West Indies such as Matnique and Guadeloupe are ideal where a larger sweeter tastier variety is grown naturally. Avocados are grown in abundance all over the West Indies that are larger much tastier and richer in color than the Mexican variety.

  5. They are good for your health so don't reduce consumption. They produce a large amount of nutritious food in a short amount of time, space or water. If they are not top mulched, then yes people will waste water, but if done right, they do not require much water compared with other fruits.

  6. Bro none grow true to type its like apples but why do we go oh its this kind ill pay more like why cant we just grow.
