Netherlands troops purchase improved helicopter seats | Military Scene

The Royal Netherlands Air Force has purchased the CH-47F Chinook Improved Troop Seats modification on their foreign military sales case.

The Aviation and Missile Command’s Security Assistance Management Directorate, cargo project manager and a platoon of Royal Netherlands Army soldiers completed an ingress/egress exercise Feb. 25-26 for improved troop seats that were installed on an Army CH-47F Block II Chinook in Huntsville.

The overall objective of the test was to assess the operational impact of installing the improved troop seats on the Netherlands’ aircraft. This was done by fully combat-equipped air force personnel identifying the differences observed between the current troop seats and the improved troop seats.
