Quilt provides individualized temperature settings for each room through its sleek touchscreen remote, the Quilt Dial, and a user-friendly mobile app.
This project has been awarded a 2025 Green Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture, Design, and Urban Studies, recognizing all its sustainable and design qualities.
This allows homeowners to customize comfort levels and schedules based on occupancy and personal preferences.
Utilizing built-in millimeter-wave radar sensors, Quilt detects room occupancy and adjusts heating or cooling accordingly, optimizing energy usage and reducing waste.
With a SEER2 rating of 25 and HSPF2 of 12, Quilt’s system achieves up to 400% efficiency, meaning it can produce four units of heating or cooling for every unit of electricity consumed.
The indoor units are under 8 inches tall and come with customizable front panels in options like white oak or paintable surfaces, allowing them to blend seamlessly into various home decors.
Operating at noise levels below 50 dBA, Quilt’s system is quieter than a typical conversation, ensuring minimal disruption in the home environment.
Quilt’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its use of R32 refrigerant, which has a significantly lower global warming potential compared to traditional options.
