  1. It’s been dry, and there are more people (and more refugees) and fewer safer routes than ever. Makes sense, I hope they process the claims quickly so they’re able to work and make a life for themselves.

  8. Of course they do, the words out now that the #1 commodity in one of the best nations in the world is now on offer to all migrants who can travel through 8 safe countries to claim they feel unsafe enough to need asylum.

  9. I always found the word invasion objectionable but it is starting to seem more and more apt.

    It is costing one LA 85k a day to support these people.

  10. If these were French coming uninvited post Brexit, the army would salute them with rifles. But these are “asylum seekers” so let’s spend billions to house them. Well, how about we spend one hundred million to build an AI to massively process them and massively reject 99% of them due to being incompatible with our values?
    And why haven’t the Syrians gone back? The war is over. Let’s bring the whole of Ukraine here and feed them for the next 5 years.
