Europe struggles to find troops for Ukraine’s ‘deterrence force,’ the Times reports

1. Struggle? Just recruit the baltic states they are the most motivated people to fight for Ukraine, they would love to do it for free especially that female PM who keep bootlicking and talking shit for EU point and now part of the EU circlejerk or the most patriotic baltic states with the population the size of a small village that can take down Russia alone.

2. Better make this work. If we want to build a more unified defense we’ll have to learn how to cooperate militarily. A joint peace keeping force is as low threshold as it gets.

3. This ‘coalition of the willing’ nonsense was little more than an attempt to get the Americans to join in anyway. It was even named to try to appeal to them. Even the Ukrainians didn’t believe in it without America. Until, of course, the US told everyone they weren’t gonna do it, at which point everyone quietly lost interest. Starmer and Macron stamped their names on the idea, but Europe as a whole is now just hoping to silently shelve it cos without daddy America they don’t wanna stick their necks out one bit.

4. According to certain users in this sub, kyivindependent is only a reliable source when it’s making negative claims about Ukraine or Europe.

   All other times it’s Ukrainian or USAID propaganda!

5. If somebody told me prior to today that Europe, a very vocal Europe when it comes to Ukraine, would probably be unable to field just 25k soldiers, I would not have believed them. As much as I dislike Trump and his antics, there have been some things over the past few months that are very eye opening.

6. Weird that north Korea can put men in the field and indeed provide Russia with more artillery than the entire west sent to Ukraine…and we can’t put 25k peace keepers in the field let alone 65k….
