On April 6, 2022, new digital identity document verification technology (IDVT) that enables data sharing between public bodies and businesses for the purpose of identity verification will be introduced. It will be made available to UK employers, landlords, and letting agents who can use it to digitally carry out pre-employment criminal record checks, right to work checks, and right to rent checks.
You are just a number the be bought and sold. People with no standing in the community will make judgement on how you live your life and where you will live. Imagine being told by Cuntywide you can’t rent because you might have a balloon fetish…..

Huh? We literally already have all of this. There’s one run by the Post Office, and by DigiIdentity. CRB and right to work checks are also all available online, you generate a ‘share code’ to give to your employer like you do with your driver’s license.
I genuinely don’t understand what problem they’re trying to solve here.
To be fair, documents are checked remotely nowadays and there’s zero verification that they aren’t faked
Now that test and trace has come to an end I suppose it was time for a new money syphoning vehicle to take its place.
This worries me. I have friends who have telling me the past 2 years about Digital ID and the Great Reset. Aparently the World Economic Forum have even wrote a book on it.
We have this in Spain for government website logins. No private companies though. Fuck that.
It again has to pointed out that this is not about ID it’s about control.
Where it will end up is anyones guess but it is basically the Chinese social credit system. Whether the Conservatives will take it to that stage is unknown.
Has anybody guessed which Tory MP has been given the contract and how much it will cost?
Hang on, what happened to the data protection act? Is this as well as or instead of? Or is this just the identity card idea rehashed?
