I’ll admit I have a pro Ukraine bias… but drone warfare – particularly fiberoptic drone warfare has to be the lamest form of warfare yet. It’s like a real life cheat code for maximum human suffering.
Edit: My bad yall, I didn’t think I would ruffle the feathers of so many people by criticizing the lack of morality and honor that fiber optics drones present.
I wonder if a soldier can “jump the granade” in this situation. Surely if one would have jumped at it and it had blown outside there would have been less casualties. They got to start training for this shit. Also early detection of buzzing sound frequencies, might be hard to hear with the MRAP engine running but maybe frequency can be isolated for a detection system.
Just wondering where that is, it’s jarring how intact the place is, no obvious damage to buildings or debris around the place, grass even looks like it’s been mowed.

Yet another reason why every single vehicle should come standard with optical sensors and .50 RWS.
These cameras are getting so much better.

I hate to see Ukrainian soldiers do dumb things. It’s not common, but it happens, like shown here. Also, combat vehicles need an acoustic sensor for nearby drones, since a fiber optic UAS would not have any electronic signature.
