This good but it can’t just be limited to actions on the bus
Aberdeen has experienced incidents of youngsters travelling into the city centre and causing trouble – other places will likely have had as well
“Work is under way to develop this and if we were to take the step there would be the likelihood of secondary legislation being required to enable a mechanism to be put in place to enable that to be the case. So these issues are being considered by the Government actively”
Translation: no.
No issue with this, free transport is a privilege abuse it and lose it.
Good. With rights come responsibilities, these days far too few people give a fig for the responsibilities part, and asking people not to engage in anti-social behaviour isn’t exactly a high bar to expect from anyone. If they start losing something of value, they will learn an important lesson.
It is mad that this wasn’t baked into the primary legislation.
As is they probably won’t get it through before 2026.
This makes sense, rather than scrapping the scheme entirely and punishing the majority of young people who beneift from it without causing any issue.
I’d like to see it extended in scope to remove the benefit from under-22s who are found to engage in any antisocial behaviour, be it on public transport or not.
Good! Fucking wee pricks.
The amount of times I got stuck on the bus because the driver refused to move on because some jumped up teens thought it’ll be cool to be wide is unreal.
Fuck em.
Good, but it will do absolutely nothing to curb anti social behaviour.
Remove something from those that need it most, seems about right
About time , Scotland – and Fife in particular right now – are being plagued by gangs of feral youths setting fires
About time.
They can be antisocial at home instead. Their parents will be grateful.
Castration for second offence
About time honestly 😭
Don’t see why it’s limited to under-22s tbh
I agree 100%. The language I hear on the top deck oftentimes is appalling, and dare I say that frequently the girls are worse than the boys.
But how will this be enforced? The bus driver is hardly going to stop the bus to demand the little pr*cks hand over their bus passes 😳
Okay so will the same rules apply to elderly people with a free bus pass?
There are plenty of old people with bus passes who are rude, racist and/or aggressive to other passengers.
There are also plenty of kids with passes who are arseholes.
My point being the rule should be if your a fanny you lose your pass regardless of age.
Give them to workers who are paying their taxes not the unappreciative fuck tards. Fucking stupid idea giving free bus passes to a generation that take everything for granted and treet people like shit for likes on twat twak.
Why was this never part of the scheme in the first place?
