This was announced by EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos on social media platform X.
She shared that she had a productive conversation with Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, during which she confirmed support for opening the first cluster with Ukraine and Moldova “simultaneously and as soon as possible.”
“Ukraine has made remarkable reform progress, and the European Commission has issued a clear positive recommendation to the EU Council to move forward with the first cluster,” Kos stated.
Stefanishyna, in turn, confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to cooperate with EU member states to address any remaining issues. She added that she looks forward to the upcoming meeting in Brussels.
