  1. >In recent days, footage has been circulating online that appears to show one of the group’s members shouting “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” in November last year….[Kneecap said] it has never supported Hamas or Hezbollah and that the footage circulating online has been “deliberately taken out of all context” as part of a “smear campaign” following their criticism of Israel and the United States in regards to the war in Gaza.

I’m curious how it was taken out of context. Was the full statement “~~you can fully support the rights of the Palestinian people~~ *~~without~~* ~~shouting mindless jingoistic nonsense such as~~ ‘**up Hamas, up Hezbollah**,'” or something?

  2. I just feel like this is one of the biggest levels of international Streisand Effects I’ve ever seen.

I came to know about Kneecap a few months ago due to a lefty podcast I follow. Now I’m seeing their name everywhere. This will most likely not have the effect Zionists want, instead it just might go the Luigi way where they’re get even more liked.

  3. >The British police investigation follows widespread criticism of the band’s alleged comments, which led to several of their upcoming gigs being canceled.

    >In recent days, footage has been circulating online that appears to show one of the group’s members shouting “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” in November last year. Separately, video from November 2023 appeared to show one member of the group, who are from Northern Ireland, saying: “The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP.” Tory is another word for Conservative, and MP is an abbreviation of Member of Parliament. In the past decade, two British MPs – Jo Cox and David Amess – have been murdered.

    >Kneecap has apologized to the families of Cox and Amess. It said it has never supported Hamas or Hezbollah and that the footage circulating online has been “deliberately taken out of all context” as part of a “smear campaign” following their criticism of Israel and the United States in regards to the war in Gaza.

I would really love to know what context they’re talking about.

  4. So they said some stuff no one dares say about gaza, then blows it all up with some kill your elected mp’s rhetoric. Not helpful, ya thick heid boyband

  5. They’re trying hard to smear these guys. But now that the world has seen the real face of Israel – and by extension western governments – this is actually winning them fans.

  6. They support terrorist organizations and incite violence against politicians.

They should all go to jail. However they won’t because they are famous. If you are famous, in a liberal democracy, nothing bad happens to you.

  7. Governments that proclaim that intentionally starving and bombing civilians is acceptable in order to try and kill terrorists can fucking spare me their so-called concerns about violent extremist rhetoric.
