The old idea of having a diverse team of experienced and motivated individuals drawn from a larger public pool went out of the window as soon as the government ~~privatised~~ academised schools.
This will eventually end in segregation. We’ll have a few schools catering for each group that cares about “people who look like me” running them. Then we can let them sink or swim on their own merits.
