Orban’s victory could block Finland’s NATO aspirations

  1. If Hungary wants to fuck around and watch what happens, they’ll probably find themselves on the wrong end of some sanctions sooner rather than later.

  2. Doubtful. The cost versus reward would not be in Orban’s favour. Similarly, the German government had better not be getting ideas to attempt to block NATO accession because the outcome would be the same.

  3. The question becoming, can the other NATO members kick Hungary out? I bet Finland and Sweden would be a better addition than Hungary, especially when they go against what’s best for NATO.

  4. Hungary is less important contributor to NATO’s security than Finland could be, by hypothetical blocking of Sweden/Finland Hungary would be signing itself NATO exit sentence.

  5. What a joke.

Hungary didnt block eu sanctions against Russia nor will anything like what the article is saying.

Hungary so far has only done things mostly related to its internal affairs, like it or not, and hasnt so far tried to veto super important EU or Nato decisions.

They know that if they tried that they would have to face massive retaliations, and to do that in order to achueve something that would not even achieve anything of importance for the hungarian population or even just his base would be disastrous.

Unless we are talking about Hungary sending troops to Ukraine a veto being even discussed is a joke.

Please, lets try to stay reasonable here. The crap ive seen ever since Orban’s reelection are a result of mass hysteria over nothing other than the status quo continuing in Hungary.
