Went to Eielan Donan Castle and Loch Ness today. It's rare I go up north and I finally understand why people gush about Scotland

  1. I didn’t get a chance to go “up north” proper till I was in my mid 20s. First time I saw Glencoe from Rannoch Moore, I was awestruck! It was like the approach to Mordor!

    Anyway, in my utopian vision, I think every Scottish kid should get to see some proper highlands and islands so they appreciate the country outside of the central belt and some rolling hills.
