You don’t need the authority when you are either able to convince others you have it or that you know what you are doing regardless of having it. The person yelling at her lost his cool and effectively lost the authority in the eyes of the rest of the parish, Ms Weaver assumed it by remaining calm in response.

Jackie Weaver is a Karen seemingly but because her victims were middle to senior aged white guys she was deemed to be “sticking it to the man” and was made a minor celebrity by the media.
I think a formal video of Jackie Weaver apologising in person to each person on that call is in order.
Just think of all the other people she’s likely steamrollered in the past in life that wasn’t caught on camera.
How the F did this investigation cost £68K? Don’t they have a book they can look the rules up in and then compare her actions to them?
