It means they can say *”We pay above minimum wage”* with a straight face.
I’m surprised they have 3 out of 5 stars when they’re paying that for unsociable hours, probably/possibly without guaranteed hours
My mate is security at an Irish airport. Can confirm she gets barely above minimum wage.
You should see the training she had to go through. For *barely above minimum wage.*
Scandalous that companies can justify paying grown adults minimum wage
Sure nobody wants to work anymore don’t yknow. Nothing to do with the fact that Lidl and McDonalds pay more or anything.
Not trying to give swissport any points but a fair few people who have a strong interest in aviation often start working at swissport so that they can get some experience working on behalf of different airlines.
Good experience and people who often work for swissport go on to be cabin crew for AerLingus or pilot careers.
People who work in aviation don’t often do it for the money. They genuinely love aviation and airport environment.
Awful pay but it’s what they like so be it.
We need to rapidly increase the minimum wage.
how is anyone expected to live on that?
Lmao I got paid more at the garage. Though to be fair the connections and career opportunities are probably 100x. better at the airport
